Just having the capability that our golfers and our members from the students to our athletes, regular guests to play on something where the platform is moving and they play in different lies. Swing replay and changing wind is awesome. One of the comments they made was once you hit the ball, there’s no delay and there’s instant feedback. They all thought it was cool compared to what else is in town
We had one player say the GOLFZON simulator helped me get my yardages better and she said she knows her numbers and felt confident in her numbers. She just finished fifth individually. Using the approach area function really helped us with our distances and being able to change the slope, the flag, go left side of the green with an up slope, etc. are all unique.
My favorite feature is wedge practice. You can move around on a practice facility outside but it’s harder to go in increments of 10 yards and go back as far as you want. With GOLFZON, you can go further than wedges and do irons too. We’re always fighting over getting time on GOLFZON.
With GOLFZON, just being able to play and seeing where the ball is going has been helpful. The numbers are accurate. Being able hit in different lies and in the rough and bunker has been fun. I sometimes struggle with hitting on different lies. Being able to work on that on GOLFZON in different conditions definitely helped my contact throughout the season.
We have fraternities, sororities, different clubs in the university that were asking about this. We know people are looking for it. In a prefect world, we’ll have seven, eight people in here renting it for several hours. They can socialize, do whatever they need to do but also have fun and play a round of golf.

Do Indoor Golf Simulators Help With College Golf Recruiting?
Yes. A dedicated indoor facility gives recruits year-round access to practice and training data, providing a tangible way for programs to demonstrate their investment in player development. Year-round training and recruiting value are among the most consistently cited reasons comparable college programs have added indoor golf facilities, without implying a specific recruiting-outcome statistic.
What Space Do Colleges Typically Convert Into a Golf Facility?
Colleges can convert underused indoor spaces into dedicated golf facilities, including racquetball courts and corners of existing field houses or indoor practice facilities. These spaces can accommodate a GOLFZON simulator while creating a flexible environment for team training, recruiting and campus recreation. See the Space Requirements section above for recommended dimensions and planning considerations.
Can a Golf Simulator Be Used for More Than the Golf Team?
Yes. A GOLFZON simulator can support intramural leagues, open recreation hours and student engagement programming in addition to team training. Features such as Arcade Plus give non-golf students another way to use the space, helping colleges get more value from a facility throughout the day.
How Accurate Is a GOLFZON Simulator for Coaching Purposes?
GOLFZON uses camera-based measurement technology to capture swing data directly rather than relying solely on radar-calculated measurements. Coaches can use that data to review individual performance session over session, monitor changes in swing and ball data, track weight transfer and putting performance, and identify areas to target throughout the season.
How Much Space Does a College Golf Facility Need?
Minimum space depends on the GOLFZON model and whether the facility is configured for both- or right-handed play. For TwoVisionNX, the minimum dimensions are approximately 10'8" high × 14' wide × 15'3" deep, plus a 3–5' safety zone; TwoVisionNX Standard requires a minimum of 10'2.25" high × 16' wide × 15'3" deep, plus a 3' safety zone. GDR MAX requires a minimum of 10'5" high × 15' wide × 15'4" deep, plus a 4' safety zone. A standard racquetball court is roughly 20' × 40', so it can provide sufficient floor area for a GOLFZON installation, but the exact fit should be evaluated based on the selected model, configuration, ceiling height and safety clearances.
From year-round team training and measurable player development to recruiting, competition and student engagement, GOLFZON gives universities one versatile platform built for more. Watch GOLFZON simulators and Network Play in action, and see how the technology can support your golf program and the broader campus community.
