‘GOLFZON 3D VIRTUAL BROADCAST TECHNOLOGY’

Golfzon‘s technical expertise is also gaining recognition at the BMW Ladies Championship!

 

 

Through internally developed 3D Virtual Broadcast technology, Golfzon is providing visual excitement to fans watching the tournament broadcasts.

Through this technology, Golfzon enables viewers to watch players' gameplay through 3D map.

 

 

Viewers can compare ball trajectory, flight path, and the landing point of each shot, all at a glance.

Through these screens, it is possible to predict what strategy the players are using to tackle the course.

 

Shots are captured from multiple angles through radar sensor cameras installed on every hole. 

Viewers can confirm the shots on a virtual 3D map and access various shot data for each player,

such as the landing point of the ball, ball flight, distance, and remaining distance as well as 3d visualization of green elevations for each hole.

 

  

Furthermore, viewers can see a wide range of information on the broadcast screen, including shot history based on individual players' game records,

such as tee shots and second shots on each hole, as well as analysis of putting using artificial intelligence systems and even the projected lie of the hole cup.

Especially during the LPGA Tour "BMW Ladies Championship 2023 event held in October,

this technology was used for live broadcasting, allowing viewers to see real-time shot data and various playing situations of the players as the game progressed.

[1. SHOT TRACING]

This shows the player's trajectory and ball flight. 

A line is drawn along the direction of the ball, and the ball's maximum height is indicated.

This enhances viewers' attentiveness and allows them to anticipate the players' course management strategies.

 

[2. SHOT REVIEW]

Through Shot Review, viewers can enjoy each player’s shot history in 3D graphics.

 

They can vividly observe how players strategically approached each hole

from Tee-shot to Second shot, on Green, providing a realistic viewing experience.

 

[3. PUTTING PREDICTION]

 

When putting, the distance to the hole cup and the elevation of the ground are displayed and the green slope is shown in a grid format.

With the help of AI technology, the expected putting line can be drawn, making viewers feel as if they are playing themselves.

 

[4. COURSE REVIEW]

By showcasing images of each hole in advance through videos, viewers can predict the difficulty of each hole and even check the location of bunkers or hazards beforehand.

This allows them to watch the game with a sense of anticipation and excitement.
