The 2025 GOLFZON China Open delivered a thrilling showdown at CITY GOLF,
the premier urban hybrid venue.

The 2025 GOLFZON China Open was successfully held from August 28 to 31
at GOLFZON CITY GOLF’s second location in Yanji, China.
This marks the tournament’s second edition, following its inaugural event last year at CITY GOLF’s first venue in Tianjin.

Launched in China as the world’s first of its kind,
CITY GOLF is a massive indoor golf complex that blends the best of screen golf and traditional field golf.
Spanning nearly 180,000 square feet (approx. 16,500 m²) of indoor space,
it features a full 18-hole layout equipped with 18 GOLFZON simulators and real greens.
By combining world-class simulator technology with field course management expertise,
CITY GOLF delivers an immersive environment where golfers can experience the feel of an outdoor course
right in the heart of the city.

From tee shots to approach shots, play begins on the simulator, and once golfers reach the green,
the screen opens with a laser marker indicating the ball’s position, guiding players to continue with approach shots, chips, and putts
on the real green.
This unique setup allows golfers to enjoy a lifelike experience of playing on an actual course—
right in the heart of the city, free from the limits of weather and time.

This year’s tournament was contested over four rounds and 72 holes of stroke play on the Masters Club Lake Course.
A total of 120 players—100 qualifiers plus 20 invited international pros—battled for the title.
Players teed off in booths equipped with the TwoVision NX simulator, and once their shots reached
a set distance from the hole, the screen opened to reveal the green area,
where they continued with approach shots, chipping, and putting.

China’s Zhao Zixu claimed the championship with a final score of 293, finishing 5-over par.
Reflecting on his victory, he said:
“Over the four days, the pace of play was much quicker and more compact than on an outdoor course,
which made for some tense moments. Competing against so many international players was both nerve-racking and exciting,
and it was also a valuable opportunity to learn from such talented golfers.
